Music & reading
Two amazing things to compare, think about it, are you really a reader? Who most of the free time reads? Or just a musical person, who enjoys instruments, rhythm and melody? Well I am going to talk about what kind of influence do reading and music share; they both have similarities talking about culture, vocabulary development, etcetera. But let’s just talk about or better said, let’s discuss about what makes difference between these, how I prefer to call them hobbies.
The first difference that I’m going to talk about is skills, when you read for example a book, a magazine, newspaper, an article, etcetera, you practice reading skills. You develop this skills an also speaking by the time you are learning new vocabulary to put in practice. Another skill you practice is writing, by the time you improve your texts; writing without missing a letter, better grammar and making coherence in your speech, just for the fact that reading helps you in all this things. Music does not work on this that much, but you are improving listening skills, recognizing rhythms, understanding words or phrases and also speaking skills focused on pronunciation and fluency.
The second difference is what the influences are, for most people, when reading or listening to music. You can tell me that music and reading are universal and you find them in all countries in the world and I would agree, but here is the difference; it is all involved depending on what you read or what you listen to, for example, people who listen to heavy music tend to be more anxious and a person who reads books, tends to think with more intellectuality and maybe in a reasonable and passive way. However there is light music and people could get involved into this too, by thinking in a different way from people who listen to heavy music, it is related to the volume you like to listen to or the kind of instruments they like, etc.
The third difference is the purposes; I know there are a lot of similarities like for example the purposes for relaxing, reading as a hobby and music are also not different at all in some cases. But the purpose of music is, for most people, to express, to let out your emotions, in other words, to just enjoy, and reading it could be all this but the difference is that a huge variety of books, magazines, etcetera, that are made for learning purposes, for example, in the school we all know that most of books that are found in the library are for students to learn and most people think that magazines are only for fun, but not all true, there are magazines that have the purpose of learning such as “speak up!” and “Think in English” do.
So no matter what kind of person you are, you either read or you either listen to music. Reading and music are universal no matter the country, no matter the culture; these two hobbies are all around the world, as I have listened to some people say: “music is a human nature” and I think reading is an every day activity. So you could be a music person at the same time as you are a music person and, it really works for most of the people.

Should the animals be used for scientific research? Is it humanly?
Animal testing has been a very controversial topic from the very beginning, people just cannot accept the fact that animals are involved into this, why testing on animals could be such an useful activity and also, at the same time, very painful and worthless for some people. As my resources say: "there are live animal experiments authorized and around the world, animals are now used as objects of experiments, to test a variety of products, such as shoes, bags and other kinds of clothes". Well I am close to explain why some people are against and some other people in favor.
A variety of test on animals has been very useful for medicine, my sources say that " it is a fact that scientists use this animals to experiment on them they consider them as a help for human being, animal testing is basically making use of animals in experiments carried out for the betterment of human lives " (Batul Nafixa Baxamusa), for example, chimpanzees shares almost the same DNA as humans, so the science could work on this animals to experiment diseases or almost any kind of problem that human are suffering this days, these animal experiments are carried out by universities, pharmaceutical companies and even by students and researchers at medical schools.
Another reason that people could be in favor with this is because also by experimenting on animals we know that already is helping humans but also it is helping animals, his helps the scientists find a cure for certain diseases by studying these animals, for example in veterinary medicine, animal surgeries, animal antibiotics, etc. Some tests as researches on animals have today helped to saving the lives of many dogs. Animal research has also provided better understanding of cat nutrition and the reasons about why cats live longer and remain healthier.
Besides these pros with animal experiments, are also cons and the very important fact for people could be the pain and suffer for this animals’ life, I have been researching and I found that, the animal testing, makes these animals afraid to lose their lives and also, I found, that many lives and herds are lost because of these kind of tests, just because the humans like to wear all kind of animal skins on their body. I think it is better understood if the reason for killing animals it for food, is not that attractive for most of the people but it is our nature, but so many people think that it is just not fair to make test on animals that are alive, because they suffer the pain of being mistreated and just because like we, the humans, they have feelings too.
The animal tests help minimize the chances of human death during, at the same time they are saving pharmaceutical and medical organizations millions of dollars in compensation. Also, animals, like mice and rabbits, reproduce very quickly, in conclusion animal testing helps saves lives of millions of humans, but also , thousands of these animals lose their lives. You can see the both sides of this fact but think about this: animal experiment gives the researchers a chance to see the effects of the experiments too, but I do not agree with the animal suffering and treating them like the nowadays society says “as animals”, because after all plants, animals and humans are all living beings.

Penthouse
Penthouse, a band that started in 2009, I described it as a gifted band, energetic elements and bright unit. Four elements make music better to listen, each one with certain personality… an amused lead guitar, talented drums, pleasing rhythm guitar and a cooperative voice that will make you feel brave. Four elements are what it takes to build basic rock, alternative rock! When you listen to us you can feel it as an angry, noisy, anxious but at the same time comfortable and lively sound.
Penthouse produces an incredible and incomparable sound that makes difference from other bands, such sound, it is impossible to compare, you can see how every single element creates rhythm and matches with other instrument, you feel vibrations coming out from the floor and cover you all with an amazing and shining feeling that makes you feel alive and out of the world. It is heavy but also harmonious and peaceful in some other songs, it could cause you headache or a passive place, and it depends on what kind of sound you enjoy but Penthouse is for everyone except the ones who doesn’t like hyperactive noise.
There are certain songs that Penthouse plays besides covers, Penthouse has their own songs, twelve in total, but the favorites are “It all ended”, “Antartida”, “Eternally”, “Sweet poison” and “forgive me”. The song “It all ended” has a magic and passive sound, it gets you lost in the middle, of a quiet and disturbed sound “Sweet poison” and “forgive me” have this little touch that gets you a funny and exciting feeling, also makes you feel cheerful, jolly and amused, “Antartida” song is frank and also more mysterious feeling, you feel like you are in a frozen, cold and weird bizarre place, it kind of makes you feel the blizzard, and the last but not least “Eternally” it feels like you are about to get launched in a world of anxiety and unconscious movement.
Playing on stage is energetic; because once you start playing nothing get you bored at all, moments that turn you on from the moment that you start playing notes. It feels a vibration that you keep you moving, it also feels fine when you play the guitar and matches with the drums rhythm, and you are starting at that moment to create a nice and attractive sound, energy, anxiety and adrenaline rushing through my veins.
After we play, we chill out a little bit and the place and environment start to get this harmonious and placid feeling. Penthouse of course has a lot to show, so if you start hearing a distorted and full of energy sound don’t hesitate that Penthouse is in the house!!

Electronic literacy
About Electronic Tools, I am not very good at all, I don’t know much about these things, I only used basic tools such as computers, DVDs, videogames (if videogames count as electronic tool) and other kinds of machines. I like so much technology but I think I’m not as able as I should be to control electronic tools, because I know there is so much to learn, so I think I am “learning” how to use almost all basic electronic tools.
The use of computers is easy to me, even if I don’t know all the components and all that, still I think I can use these things, just because I know I can work on basic elements, to calculate, to write, to make my own presentations, to use the keyboard, burn CDs, etc. About internet, I can handle it very well, I can surf through the internet and find almost all the information and things that I need for my study work and my daily life. I can use e-mail to download projects besides internet and I use it also to chat, to get information and send it too.
In my daily life I can work with basic electronic tools such as DVDs, computers, etc. Also in junior high school I had a class that was called Electronic and we used little machines and built some little things that were called “kits”, it was fun and I learned a lot, in high school my area was “mechanical and electronically” and I remember that almost at the end of the BA we built an electronic arm that moved from left to right, up to down and around. And I think I got some skills and experience, and I developed some things about electronic tools.
My plans for my future are to get more involved in these things because I think it is very important, like nowadays, people say that the human has to have basic skills after elementary school that are to know, how to write, to read and also to know how to use a computer. So my plans in this BA are to work putting as base electronic tools because I know there will be so much to learn and so may works that lead me to use computers.
I know, or better say, I have noticed that since I was a child until now technology has been developing itself and making so much progress that nowadays electronic tools are advanced technology. So I believe that every person, it doesn’t matter if you are a child or a grown up person, it is very important that you get involved in this “paper”, that will make you develop your own skills and it work for any kind of work or entertainment that you will live every single day.
